Cisneros Real Estate

Cisneros Real Estate develops strategic, innovative and responsible real estate and tourism projects. With headquarters in Miami, Florida, the division’s long view development portfolio is built upon relationships with partners that share similar values and integrating the needs and interests of the local communities and environments we impact.

TROPICALIA

The division’s largest project to date is Tropicalia, a sustainable luxury resort development, offering sophisticated architecture in a captivating and breathtaking site of diverse natural beauty in northeast Dominican Republic. The first phase of development is Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia designed by architect and interior designer Isay Weinfeld. Tropicalia integrates smart design with the natural landscape, creating a sense of balance between time and space.

At Tropicalia, the pursuit of sustainability is present in all aspects of the project, from design and construction to operations. As part of our commitment, we also support community development and economic inclusion through our foundation, Fundación Tropicalia, which carries out programs in education, environment, productivity and socio-cultural advocacy in Miches.

In 2010, Tropicalia joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and began aligning business strategy with the universal principles on human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption. Our commitment includes reporting on progress in these areas through our annual sustainability report, which was first issued in 2011. Our report informs stakeholders of our business practices, corporate philosophy and the impact of our foundation’s work in the local community.

Fundación Tropicalia

At Tropicalia, the pursuit of sustainability is present in all aspects of the project, from design and construction to operations. As part of our commitment, we also support community development and economic inclusion through our foundation, Fundación Tropicalia, which carries out education, environment, productivity and socio-cultural advocacy programs in Miches.

One of the foundation’s flagship projects is Soy niña, soy importante, which supports at-risk girls with a simple mission: protect their childhood, guide them in making timely life choices, and educate them and their community regarding their rights. What began as a summer camp in 2013, today Soy niña, soy importante also includes an at-home program and spearheads activism and awareness campaigns in Dominican Republic, with a geographic focus in the municipality of Miches in the El Seibo Province.
