Xavier Torres, Country Manager Ecuador

Serial entrepreneur since 1996 with deep experience in digital marketing, internet, Pay TV, and the software industry.   Pioneer in Ecuador’s communication and digital marketing industry.

Co-founded YAGE, the main digital agency in the country, and founder of XiY, a media company specializing in selling Pay TV (the exclusive representative of AdSales Fox Media) and digital advertising.

Former President of the Ecuadorean Software Association where he promoted Asociatividad projects and the export capabilities of this sector.   Currently , he is a founding member of the Ecommerce Chamber in Ecuador and a board member of IAB’s local chapter.

He graduated from the PUCE University in Ecuador with a Software Engineer degree, and has an MBA from the IDE School of Business, specializing in Innovation at SINGULARITY UNIVERSITY (USA).  He also attended different Business and Media courses in Spain, Holland, Mexico and the United States.

Nicolas has 20 years of experience in the advertising industry after graduating with an Advertising degree from Universidad de El Salvador in Buenos Aires.

He was the Strategy and Innovation Director at Initiative for the Unilever Argentina account, Regional Media Manager at Initiative for Unilever Latam, Digital Media Director for Initiative Argentina, and General Manager for La Media de Lupe, in Paraguay.   Previous to his new post at Cisneros, he Co-founded Aditor, one of the most recognized digital agencies in Paraguay.   

For the past 7 years he has worked in developing and professionalizing the Paraguayan advertising market, both in his role as a media professional and as an academic (Professor at La Guapa and speaker at various events such as Marketing Trends, La TV que se Viene y La Caja de Herramientas).

Under his leadership, La media de Lupe, won the first international award granted to a Paraguayan media agency.   

Giovanni Gamarra, VP Sales Bolivia

Giovanni has 10 years of experience in Telecom, Internet, Marketing, and Digital Media.   He has a Business Administration degree in Entertainment, Sports, and Media from Harvard University (USA) and has taken business courses from INCAE (Costa Rica), and leadership courses from Georgetown (USA).

Prior to Cisneros Interactive, he was Director, Value-Added Services and Digital Business Millicom Bolivia (leading telco), where he led the digital transformation for the company.   He was the leader for the 3G Prepaid Mobile Internet project, the first in the country, and launched the first multi-screen Sports channel and the first music streaming service in Bolivia.

He was also the Co-Founder of supertarjetas.co, the first ecommerce company in Bolivia and he won the Ecommerce Day Innovation award.

Currently he is on the Board of the Ecommerce Chamber of Commerce and  of the Tedx Youth brand in Bolivia.  He was also named by Forbes as one of the main contributors in the digital transformation of his country.

Eduardo Garcia, Country Manager Dominican Republic

Eduardo Garcia has more than 8 years of digital marketing experience.   Before Cisneros Interactive, Eduardo worked at Philip Morris International where he was the Marketing, Trade Marketing and Digital Manager for the Caribbean markets.   Prior to that, he was the head of Digital at Nestlé Dominicana for its brands and the corporate division.

He was also a digital innovator and entrepreneur in Dominican Republic having founded Movieapp, the first mobile application (APP) in Dominican Republic on Blackberry, Iphone and Android.   

He studied at PUCMM, NYU and Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), one of the most prestigious universities in the Dominican Republic.   He was a Digital Marketing Teacher in UNIBE (Universidad Iberoamericana), and he was selected by MERCADO magazine as one of the 30 visionaries in the DR.

Mei-Lin Alcocer, Country Manager Puerto Rico

Mei-Lin Alcocer has more than 15 years of experience in the advertising industry after graduating with a Marketing degree from Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Rio Piedras. 

She started her advertising career in Puerto Rico where she worked on local and multinational advertising agencies gaining experience in many different industries. Her last local position was as an Account Director at Y&R Puerto Rico managing all advertising efforts for T-Mobile.

In 2011, she relocated to Miami where she worked at Conill Advertising, a leading Hispanic advertising agency in Miami, managing brands like P&G, Abbott and Aflac.

In 2016, she joined the Cisneros Interactive team at RedMas as the Commercial Director for Puerto Rico, PanRegional and the Hispanic Market.   She was promoted to Country Manager Puerto Rico on March 2018.

Byron Cabrera, Regional Head Central America

Byron Cabrera is a marketing specialist with over 19 years of proven experience in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for recognized local and global brands in Central America and the Caribbean. 
As a pioneer in the digital marketing industry in his region, Byron has helped many brands and companies to introduce and integrate the use of interactive media in their marketing and advertising efforts. 
Throughout his career Byron has planned, developed and executed successful projects integrating the use of online advertising, mobile marketing, interactive BTL experiences, content strategy, social media marketing, search and SEO. 
 
A creative, strategic, digital mindset marketeer, on March 2018 he joined Cisneros Interactive as the Regional Head in Central America.
 
Rafael Rojas is Country Manager for Costa Rica

Rafael is a pioneer in digital marketing in the Central American Region. During his career, he has established strong network relationships in these markets and a strong reputation in overall digital strategy. He is an advertising professional with a master’s degree in Marketing and Communication.
 
He has more than 15 years of experience opening and leading digital business in Costa Rica and managing operations in Central American countries. His work includes comprehensive experience in Media Sales, 360 Media, Digital Marketing, eBusiness & Marketing Strategy in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. 
 
In 2006, he started his career in digital marketing working for I-Network Hispanoamérica (Microsoft Advertising Reseller), opening operations in Central America and providing training in the region on digital advertising.  In 2012,  as a General Manager, he founded Adnunciate, the first premium Costa Rican ad-network, which had a self-service platform with more than 40 local sites for advertisers. After this, he was Regional Manager of Connecting The Dots, a digital agency, he built solid communication channels with advertising agencies and media bureaus, training regarding e-marketing (e-advertising, e-mailing, SEM and Social Media), and developing the design and pitch of online strategies. Additionally, he had experience in advertising agencies working as Digital Strategic Director at DDB in Guatemala, and he also founded two start-up companies in the digital advertising field.
