Venevision International signs deal with Panama's TVN for the telenovela "Salvador de Mujeres"


(Miami, February 4th, 2010)--Within the realm of the world premiere of the telenovela “Salvador de mujeres” at NATPE ’10, the convention for content industry professionals held recently at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada (Jan. 25-27), Manuel Perez, Vice President & CFO of Venevision International who manages Venevision International’s daily operations from its headquarters in Miami, Florida, emphasized that “this deal reinforces our successful relationship with TVN for which we are committed to providing Panama’s television audience with programming with top quality productions and artistic integrity.”

“Salvador de Mujeres” is produced by Venevision Productions in collaboration with Francisco Munoz and his production company Televideo, and is currently being filmed among the beautiful scenery and at various locations in Colombia.  Salvador (Carlos Guillermo) is a boxer who unjustly loses his boxing license and is forced to work as a female escort.  The story, originally written by Marcela Citterio, is full of soul, passion, and romance.  All the women in the telenovela’s cast, as well as among the television audience, won’t be able to resist being saved by Salvador, a knockout lover.

Venvision International celebrated the world premiere of “Salvador de mujeres” with a grand musical event at the House of Blues of the Mandalay Bay Resort during NATPE’s opening night.  The spectacle, which was witnessed by approximately 2,000 patrons, featured a special performance by the market’s hottest pop star, Tito ‘El Bambino,’ who interpreted the novela’s theme song, “El Amor,” as well as a selection of his international hits.  The mini-concert was the culmination of a magical night, which began with an elaborate visual presentation of the much-anticipated telenovela, followed by the introduction of the novela’s leading cast - Ruddy Rodriguez, Carlos Guillermo Haydon and Alejandra Sandoval, as well as the accomplished author Marcela Citterio, who wrote the original story behind the novela
