The Cisneros Group of Companies' beauty pageant, "Miss Venezuela", shines in China


(Miami, January 12th, 2012)--Shanghai Media Group’s International Channel aired ‘Miss Venezuela 2011’ on New Year’s Day (January 1st) and will rebroadcast the show, considered one the world’s most recognized beauty pageants, during the eve of the Chinese New Year (January 22nd)

Miami, FL (USA) – The Cisneros Group of Companies, one of the largest privately held media, entertainment, telecommunications and consumer products organizations in the world, is proud to announce the broadcast in China of its crowned jewel, the world-renowned ‘Miss Venezuela’ pageant, on the Shanghai Media Group’s International Channel, showcasing the splendor of Latin American culture and beauty.

The ‘Miss Venezuela 2011’ beauty pageant is produced in High Definition (HD) by Venevision, Venezuela’s leading television channel and part of the Cisneros Group.  This icon of Latin American beauty and pageantry – producing a leading six ‘Miss Venezuela’ beauty queens that have gone on to win the ‘Miss Universe’ crown - was aired live in Venezuela and throughout Latin America via DirecTV; as well as in the United States on the Univision Network.  In China, the Shanghai Media Group’s International Channel aired ‘Miss Venezuela’ in three segments, running from January 1st through the 3rd, and will rebroadcast it on January 22nd, the eve of the Chinese New Year.
