The Univision network premiere of "El Talisman", the latest telenovela by Venevision Productions, makes television history in the United States


More than 5 million viewers witnessed the debut of the long-awaited production in HD,
starring Blanca Soto and Rafael Novoa and created in collaboration with Univision Studios,
making it the most-watched premiere in the history of novelas produced in the U.S.

(Miami, February 1, 2012)--Venevision Productions, a production house of the Cisneros Group of Companies, celebrated the success of the world premiere of the much-anticipated telenovela “El Talisman” [The Talisman], its latest production in high definition (HD) in association with Univision Studios that was seen by more than 5 million viewers (2+), making it the most-watched debut in the history of U.S.-produced novelas.  Starring Blanca Soto, Rafael Novoa and Aaron Diaz, this unforgettable story filled with passion, romance, and intrigue made its debut in the United States last tonight, January 30th, on the Univision Network during its primetime timeslot at 8:00 PM (EST), obtaining an average television audience of 3.8 million viewers (2+), 2.1 million of these were between the ages of 18 and 49 and 1.2 million were among 18 to 34 years of age.

Recently, “El Talisman” was acquired in Ecuador, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Georgia, Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico and Canada, as well as Chile, where it will be broadcast on Chilevisión, the channel that recently began airing another great production by Venevision Productions, “Corazon Apasionado” [Passions of the Heart], the telenovela with Marlene Favela and Guy Ecker that has been enjoyed by the Chilean television public.
