Miami, FL (USA) April 12, 2010 - Venevision International, a global entertainment company of the Cisneros Group of Companies, announced it signed a deal with Telelatino today, opening day of MIPTV, for the broadcast of its ample and varied catalog of Spanish-language television programming.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better start to the MIPTV convention than with the signing of this contract with Telelatino,” emphasized Manuel Perez, Vice President & CFO of Venevision International who manages the company’s operations from its headquarters in Miami, Florida. “We are confident this is a positive sign of what’s to come in this market. This provides us the motivation and enthusiasm to continue our monumental task of increasing our presence in international markets, be it with the products from our production companies, Venevision in Venezuela and Venevision Productions in Miami [Florida, USA], as from the independent producers we represent.”
The agreement with Telelatino, the multicultural television channel of Corus Entertainment, one of Canada’s most successful integrated media and entertainment companies, makes available through the end of 2014 Venevision International’s vast and diverse catalog of television programming, amassed throughout its more than 35 years in the industry, to be broadcasted in that formidable market.
“This pact fortifies our relationship with Telelatino, to who for years we have provided television programming with much success in its market,” stated Cesar Diaz, Vice President of Sales of Venevision International. “With this accord we venture on a new and greater association between the two companies for the enjoyment of all the Latin television viewers in Canada.”

MIPTV kicked off today Monday, April 12th, and continues through Friday, April 16th, at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.
