Miss Universe 2009 broadcast by Venevision obtained 75% of Audience Share

The broadcasting of the Miss Universe 2009 pageant by Venevisión obtained 75% audience share (national level, total viewers), according to AGB, last Sunday August 23, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. In the same period, Televen reached a 13.5% share, VTV 5.1%, Globo 3.2% and Tves 3.2%.

The 58th edition of the pageant took place in Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas. Among the 84 candidates, Venezuelan Stefanía Fernández was crowned the 6th Miss Universe by her compatriot Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe 2008.

The broadcast was hosted by Laura Vieira with simultaneous translation by Marta de Briceño and Nerio Guerrero from Venevisión studios.
