Santo Domingo - Cisneros Group president Gustavo Cisneros, and Patricia Phelps, President and Founder of the Cisneros Foundation, today received the prestigious Global Leadership Award for Ensuring Environmental Sustainability of the UN Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA).
This award is among 8 others given by the UNA-USA to pay tribute to nonprofit organizations, corporations and individuals who have obtained advances in the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations.
"The Cisneros Foundation is pleased that its flagship program in education, AME, has received this prestigious recognition for its environmental curriculum," said Cisneros Fundacion president Adriana Cisneros Griffin.
