Venevisión Has Tried to Encourage Dialogue and Tolerance among Venezuelans

Venevisión has tried to encourage dialogue and tolerance among the Venezuelan people, respecting the principles embedded in the Constitution, which establishes the right to freedom of expression and majority rule. Venevision´s information policy strives for balance and equilibrium to preserve social harmony among Venezuelans.

We are deeply concerned about the closure of any mass media and support the right of all Venezuelans to be informed in an objective and truthful manner.

We urge all political, economic and social powers and the media to maintain a spirit of tolerance and understanding and to be cognizant of the risks involved in losing the right to be informed.

We endorse our decision to contribute in every way we can to promote unity among the Venezuelan people in defense of democracy and freedom.
