Punto por Punto, the Cisneros Group’s monthly CSR electronic newsletter highlights the various initiatives carried out by the companies within the Cisneros Group. The newsletter is received by the employees of the Cisneros Group as well as affiliated institutions and individuals, further increasing awareness of the diverse array of programs the Group develops and promotes.
The Cisneros Group of Companies’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs are implemented in accordance with the United Nations Millennium Goals and with the conviction that education and sustainable development are the most powerful tools for increasing the well-being of communities.

The basic premise of the CSR programs of the Cisneros Group is that education is the fundamental source for the creation of wealth and thus an essential tool for the elimination of poverty. Over the years, these programs of the Cisneros Group have expanded their reach across Latin America by leveraging its own advanced media technologies, as well as its strategic partnerships with other companies, nonprofit organizations and government entities in various countries worldwide.

Fundación Cisneros

The Fundación Cisneros is a private nonprofit institution established by Patricia Phelps de Cisneros and Gustavo A. Cisneros to support and promote programs that fortify communities, while promoting freedom of speech and the principles of democracy, encouraging economic development and fostering understanding among Latin American nations. The mission of the Fundación Cisneros is to improve education in Latin America while increasing international awareness of the region's contribution in the global cultural arena.

Leones del Caracas

Leones del Caracas is the most successful team in the Venezuelan Baseball League. The team’s success derives from consistently outstanding performance, the professional scouting and formation of new players, and a respect for the longstanding traditions of Venezuelan baseball.

Miss Venezuela Organization

With more than 70 world titles and an endless list of distinctions in international competition, the Miss Venezuela Pageant is one of the country’s longest pop culture sensations. In its Corporate Social Responsibility mission, the Miss Venezuela Organization seeks to highlight and advance women’s contributions in all fields in society.

Venevisión

Venevisión, a leading television network with a consistently large share of the national audience, is positioned to contribute to the well-being of Venezuelan society. The network has developed a number of Corporate Social Responsibility programs to fulfill this role.

Cl@se

Cl@se, the first pan-regional educational television channel available in Latin America through cable and satellite, was established by the Cisneros Group of Companies as a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in 1996. Cl@se's programming targeting students, teachers and parents covers a wide range of subjects, including foreign languages, science, culture, mathematics, and adult continuing education. The Fundación Cisneros and Venevisión Continental facilitate cl@se’s distribution through collaborative agreements signed with educational institutions and telecommunication companies in Latin America.
